Risa Mei is an American voice actress associated with FUNimation Entertainment, Crunchyroll, and Bang Zoom! Entertainment. Born on April 22 in California, she is of Chinese-Indonesian descent. Before focusing on voice acting, Mei worked as a singer and on-camera stage actor in both the United States and Japan. She began voice work in 2019 with a role in Jim Henson's Word Party, providing both motion capture and voice for the character Tilly. She started pursuing English dub work for anime and video games in 2020, with her early recordings done remotely in Dallas, Texas, before she later moved to Los Angeles in 2022. Mei holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University.
