Description
Dragonoid, known as Drago, is a dragon-like Pyrus-attribute Bakugan originating from Vestroia and recognized as one of its most powerful species. Possessing high intelligence and strong moral convictions, he serves as a leader among Bakugan. While exhibiting limited mobility in battle, he compensates with powerful strikes and the capacity to radiate intense heat capable of dissolving surrounding matter. His defining trait is infinite self-driven evolution, each transformation increasing his power and bringing him closer to the Infinity Core.
Partnering with Dan Kuso in the original conflict, Dragonoid fought to defeat the rogue Bakugan Naga and the entity Masquerade, aiming to restore the Infinity and Silent Cores to Vestroia. During this period, he evolved into Delta Dragonoid and later Ultimate Dragonoid. After absorbing the Infinity Core, he attained Infinity Dragonoid, gaining abilities tied to the core's power: manipulation of six attributes (fire, water, earth, air, light, darkness), energy manipulation, power nullification, void manipulation, reality warping, and conceptual alteration. This enabled him to recreate Vestroia by merging its fragmented dimensions into a unified universe. Following Naga's defeat, Dragonoid absorbed the Silent Core, becoming Perfect Dragonoid and gaining dominion over Vestroia's positive and negative energies. This integration granted additional powers including soul manipulation, resistance to corruption, and immortality negation.
In the New Vestroia saga, Dragonoid confronted new threats when the alien Vestals invaded and enslaved New Vestroia. Targeted for capture due to his significance, he was separated from the core by the Six Legendary Soldiers of Vestroia, resulting in diminished power and an altered appearance as Neo Dragonoid. Partnering with the Resistance—including Dan, Marucho, Shun, and Vestal allies—he battled the Vexos organization. Captured by Spectra Phantom, Dragonoid was forcibly evolved into Cross Dragonoid. Subsequent absorption of Six Attribute Energies from the Vexos' BT System facilitated his evolution into Helix Dragonoid, exhibiting enhanced combat capabilities like molecular self-manipulation and elemental control.
During later conflicts, such as the Gundalian Invaders arc, Dragonoid was identified as a descendant of the original Blitz Dragonoid, one of the first Bakugan born, underscoring his enduring historical significance. Further evolutions included Titanium Dragonoid, Fusion Dragonoid, and Aeroblitz Dragonoid, each augmenting his abilities with features like advanced energy absorption and spatial manipulation.
Dragonoid also appears in rebooted continuity (Generation 2 and 3) as a distinct entity named Maximus partnered with Dan Kouzo. This incarnation shares the name Drago and a dragon-like appearance but features separate lore, including roles in battling entities like Nillious and evolving through forms such as Hyper Dragonoid and Elemental Dragonoid using Baku-Gear and Nanogan Fury. These iterations emphasize thematic parallels without direct narrative continuity to the original Dragonoid.
Across all incarnations, Dragonoid’s core traits include unwavering loyalty to human partners, strategic intelligence in battle, and a relentless drive to evolve for the protection of Vestroia and allied worlds.
