This loyalty fuels his investigation into a series of police suicides connected to arms dealer Genji Hakuryu. During this case, he confronts a female assassin wielding cybernetic peacock tail feathers that induce hypnosis. To resist her control and survive, he deliberately stabs out his own left eye. This sacrifice results in him receiving an advanced cybernetic replacement called the "God's Eye" from an unidentified benefactor; the origin and provider of this technology remain unexplained.

The God's Eye implant grants him near-total access and control over Earth's computer systems. Its functionalities include X-ray vision, infrared imaging, database intrusion, and electronic targeting assistance. The implant also interfaces with his primary weapon, the Sun Wu Kong rod. This extendable staff serves multiple combat roles: a pole vault for urban traversal, a blunt force weapon, and a ranged energy projectile launcher. Goku demonstrates proficiency with the staff due to prior bojutsu training, though his rapid mastery of its enhanced functions after receiving the implant suggests accelerated learning.
