Description
Zenitsu Agatsuma, a Demon Slayer defined by the duality of paralyzing anxiety and explosive latent power, carries a past steeped in hardship. Orphaned in youth and ensnared in debt after a misguided romantic endeavor, he finds salvation through Jigoro Kuwajima, a retired Thunder Hashira who settles his debts and hones him in Thunder Breathing. A lightning strike during training bleaches his hair gold and ignites a bitter rivalry with Kaigaku, a fellow disciple who mocks his timidity.

Prone to crippling panic and desperate flight, Zenitsu’s fragility dissolves in moments of unconsciousness or mortal peril, revealing a battle-hardened prodigy who wields Thunder Breathing with lethal mastery. His signature Thunderclap and Flash evolves into Sixfold and Godspeed variations, toppling adversaries like the Tongue Demon and Spider Family’s son. Hyper-acute hearing grants him tactical foresight, parsing whispers of danger to outmaneuver foes.

Alliances with Tanjiro Kamado and Inosuke Hashibira anchor his journey, his loyalty to Tanjiro and fierce protectiveness of the demon Nezuko underscoring a selfless core beneath his terror. Confrontations in Mount Natagumo and the Entertainment District harden his resolve, pushing him to shield Nezuko and clash with Upper Rank demon Daki. A defining duel against Kaigaku—now transformed into Upper Rank Six—unleashes his newfound technique, Honoikazuchi no Kami, cementing his metamorphosis from trembling apprentice to assured warrior.

Recovering from grievous wounds in the Swordsmith Village arc, Zenitsu emerges from coma to pursue solo missions, his independence fueled by mastery of Total Concentration Breathing during rehabilitation. Once reliant on unconscious reflexes, he later engages Muzan Kibutsuji’s forces awake and wounded, wielding honed skills with deliberate intent.

Jigoro’s paternal guidance and Kaigaku’s betrayal frame Zenitsu’s odyssey through abandonment and redemption. Embracing kinship with the Demon Slayer Corps, he channels lingering self-doubt into unwavering duty, embodying the Corps’ creed through resilience forged in thunder and camaraderie.
