His entry into the world of professional dubbing included a notable audition for the long-running series One Piece. As a self-described otaku who credits the series with influencing his character since adolescence, Tatini initially requested to voice the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy. That role had already been filled, but when the initial choice for the character Usopp was not approved, Tatini was given the opportunity to audition.
