Dirk Petrick is a German voice actor and author, born on May 27, 1980, in Weißwasser, Germany. He studied communication at the Berlin University of the Arts and has also pursued acting training in Potsdam and Berlin. In addition to his voice work, Petrick writes books for children and young adults, often presenting them in nationwide live readings.

Petrick is primarily known for his extensive work in dubbing, providing the German voices for numerous characters in international films and television series. For a younger audience, he is widely recognized as the voice of Cole Sprouse's character Jughead Jones in the series Riverdale and of Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel in Glee. His film dubbing credits include roles as Flash Thompson in the recent Spider-Man films and as Toad in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

However, a significant and prominent part of his career is dedicated to anime, where he lends his voice to a wide array of protagonists and supporting characters. He has voiced Franky Franklin in Spy×Family, the cowardly but powerful Zenitsu Agatsuma in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and its film Mugen Train, and the strategic student council president Miyuki Shirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love is War. His other notable anime roles include Nishiki Nishio in Tokyo Ghoul:re, Momotarou Mikoshiba in Free! -Dive to the Future-, Revel in Platinum End, Takeru Noto in Fire Force, and Crow Hogan in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. He has also contributed to classic and popular titles such as Black Butler (as Finnian), The Familiar of Zero (as Guiche de Gramont), and various installments of the Haruhi Suzumiya series (as Kunikida).

Throughout his career, Petrick has demonstrated a remarkable vocal range and a strong presence in the dubbing industry, earning recognition for his work. He was part of the production that won the German Synchron Award for the series Sort of in the Arthouse category. In 2022, he received the award for Best Supporting Actor from the website AnimeNachrichten.de for his performance as Franky Franklin in the popular series Spy×Family.
