Chuatury Panlunch, nicknamed Chuchu, is a first-year piloting student at Asticassia School of Technology and a member of Earth House. Hailing from an Earth-based mining community, she witnessed constant accidents and the systemic oppression of Earthians under Spacian rule. This fuels her fierce resentment toward Spacians—whom she derisively calls "turds"—and prompts her to confront them physically or verbally when they harass Earthians. Her hot-headed and direct approach stems from enduring discrimination and trauma from the Plant Quetta terrorist attack, which later impacts her piloting in exercises like the Rumble Ring.
Initially hostile toward Spacian transfer student Suletta Mercury, Chuchu tries to drive her out by throwing a wrench and shouting insults. However, witnessing Suletta's vulnerability during a sabotaged Spotting Exam changes her perspective. Chuchu defends Suletta by punching the bullies, recognizing that Suletta carries her people's hopes just as Earthians do. She reluctantly accepts Suletta into Earth House, demanding to be addressed as "senior" despite Suletta's lower grade—marking a shift from hostility to guarded solidarity.
Chuchu pilots the MSJ-105CC Chuchu’s Demi Trainer, destroyed during the Asticassia Massacre, later transitioning to the MSJ-R122 Demi Barding. Her piloting prowess shines in a duel against Grassley House, where she strategically snipes the head of Shaddiq Zenelli’s Michaelis despite severe damage to her mobile suit, securing Earth House's victory. She actively participates in GUND-ARM, Inc., advocating for its medical technology to aid Earthians injured in industrial accidents. Though skeptical of Miorine Rembran’s leadership, she contributes to company projects, including promotional videos and technology tests.
Her closest bond is with Nika Nanaura, whom she calls "Nika-nee," reflecting a sisterly or mentor-like relationship. Nika frequently calms Chuchu during heated confrontations, and Chuchu imitates Nika’s behavior during her absence. Chuchu also engages combatively with Martin Upmont over Earthian-Spacian tensions and shares a bickering dynamic with Felsi Rollo that fuels fan speculation.
Chuchu grapples with her trauma and biases, channeling anger into protecting her community—such as video-calling Earthian miners to check on suppression efforts, though urged to focus on studies. Her journey balances unwavering defiance for Earthian rights with gradual, pragmatic cooperation across faction lines.
