Description
Mash Kyrielight is a genetically engineered human, sculpted by artificial fertilization and genetic editing under Chaldea's late director, Marisbury Animusphere. Created as a "Designer Baby," she served as a vessel for Heroic Spirits in the Demi-Servant project, binding spirits to human hosts for controlled power. As "Summoning Experiment #2," she underwent a fusion ritual at age ten in 2010, successfully merging with the spirit of Galahad of the Knights of the Round Table. Galahad refused to awaken, disapproving of Chaldea's methods, yet remained within her to preserve her life. This fusion granted her the unique Shielder-class Servant designation, specializing in defense.

She possesses lilac hair, lavender eyes, and fair skin. Her athletic physique, preserved at its peak by Demi-Servant augmentation, shows no visible aging. Casually, she wears rectangular glasses, a grey hoodie, a black shirt layered over a white-collared shirt, a red tie bearing the Chaldea insignia, a black skirt, tights, and brown shoes. In combat, she dons skin-tight black and purple armor resembling a mini-dress with an exposed midsection, gauntlets, boots, a thigh garter, and wields a large cross-shaped shield. When Galahad withdraws cooperation, she utilizes the Ortinax—a technologically advanced armored suit with thigh-high boots and a visor—to enhance her physical capabilities.

Initially a blank slate due to her engineered origins, devoid of personal desires or emotions, Mash developed a sense of self under the guidance of Romani Archaman, Chaldea's medical director. She learned to express opinions and form attachments, embodying kindness and devotion to Chaldea's mission. Yet she harbors deep sorrow from her concealed knowledge of a predetermined 18-year lifespan, shared only with Romani. Mission experiences forged a strong protective instinct, particularly towards her designated "senpai," Ritsuka Fujimaru. Their unspoken bond carries romantic tension, though her naivety obscures full recognition of these feelings. She admires historical figures and enjoys detective fiction, especially Sherlock Holmes.

Key relationships shape her: Romani as a paternal figure encouraging emotional growth; Lev Lainur, her former magic instructor who earned her trust before betraying it; and Ritsuka, her closest confidant and core motivation. She dislikes Beryl Gut, a Chaldea staff member who tortured her, and exhibits conflicted dynamics with Lancelot due to Galahad's unresolved animosity.

Her story ignites during Chaldea's investigation of Singularity F (Fuyuki City, 2004). Her Demi-Servant abilities awaken in an emergency; she contracts with Ritsuka and manifests her Noble Phantasm, Lord Chaldeas, blocking Excalibur Morgan. Throughout subsequent singularities, she refines her combat and defensive skills. A pivotal moment occurs in Camelot, where she learns Galahad's identity and unlocks his true Noble Phantasm, Lord Camelot—a conceptual fortress whose strength crystallizes with her resolve, enabling her to withstand attacks like the Lion King's Rhongomyniad.

Confronting Goetia in the Final Singularity, she sacrifices herself, deploying Lord Camelot against Ars Almadel Salomonis. Fou expends accumulated energy to resurrect her, nullifying her limited lifespan. Galahad subsequently withdraws his support, stripping her Demi-Servant abilities. In the Lostbelt saga, she initially relies on the Ortinax suit for combat, wielding the Black Barrel Replica to defeat entities like Aphrodite, Demeter, Zeus, and Cernunnos. Her resolve solidifies in Avalon le Fae; embracing a purpose beyond duty, she integrates her Shielder abilities with Ortinax technology to become a "Shielder Paladin."

*Moonlight/Lostroom* explores her psychological state post-Solomon, emphasizing trauma from Galahad's departure and her struggle to reconcile her identity, highlighting her determination to persist. Her journey culminates in the Lostbelt arc, confronting world-ending threats and redefining her role as a protector independent of Galahad's legacy.
