Description
Born on December 18, 2036, at Grace Field House Plantation 3, Nat lived as an orphan under Isabella's care. Identified by the neck tattoo "30294", he ranked as high-quality "merchandise" for his intellect and age. He had short auburn hair, brown eyes in the manga (red in the anime), and prided himself on his prominent nose.

His personality fused extroversion, narcissism, and emotional vulnerability. Jovial and fun-loving, he mingled easily, peppering conversations with sarcasm. This sociability contrasted starkly with his cowardice around insects, reptiles, or intimidating figures like Sonju. He expressed emotions transparently—crying from joy during reunions or when siblings healed, and readily showing fear or discomfort. Despite occasional pessimism, he demonstrated creativity, musical talent, and perceptiveness. Skilled in piano and accordion, he led performances for events like Norman's birthday and taught music to younger siblings. He also cut hair expertly, and blancmange remained his favorite food.

Nat maintained close bonds with fellow Grace Field escapees, especially peers Anna, Thoma, and Lannion, while protecting younger children. His friendship with Anna stood out; they were frequently together due to shared age and upbringing. Moments hinted at romantic interest in Anna, though he denied it when questioned. Relationships with elders varied: he embraced Yugo's nickname "Nose" as a compliment but found Sonju frightening.

Initially oblivious to the orphanage's true purpose, he learned its horrific reality alongside Anna, Thoma, and Lannion via Don and Gilda's revelation. He aided escape preparations, helping Don secure cliff-crossing zip lines. On January 15, 2046, he fled Grace Field with fourteen other children over five.

Survival in the Promised Forest tested him. Hunting with Don, he avoided reptiles and bugs to catch birds. He struggled with unfamiliar foods, dodging Gilda's suspicious fish stew. Wild demon encounters triggered visible terror, and finding dead animals shocked him. Despite fears, his observational skills and cautious remarks often prompted group reassessments. Mujika and Sonju provided refuge, teaching vital survival skills.

The group discovered Shelter B06-32, where Nat played piano during a month of stability before pursuers and wild demons forced another flight. They took temporary refuge in a temple near a demon village.

Reaching Paradise Hideout, Nat celebrated amenities like proper toilets. He reacted with visible shock and joy upon reuniting with Norman. Initially backing Norman's demon-eradication plan, he ultimately supported Emma's non-violent approach for peace. Later, he joined the mission rescuing remaining Grace Field children.

Entering the human world opened a new chapter. He showed visible worry over Emma's post-journey disappearance. Over two years, he adapted to human society—attending school and focusing on music studies. By spring 2049, he tearfully reunited with Emma despite her amnesia. Subsequent years saw him fulfill his opera-appreciation dream. Physically, he grew to 142 cm at age 11 and 156 cm at 13, adopting a mature appearance with longer, messier hair and trading his uniform for black pants and a white shirt.
