Description
Chosen as the first Fairy King by the Sacred Tree to protect the Fairy King's Forest, Gloxinia initially possessed an outgoing and caring nature. He delighted in playful activities and defending his realm alongside his younger sister Gerheade. His appearance featured long bright red hair, pointed ears, and rainbow-colored butterfly wings. When his Spirit Spear Basquias wasn't active—typically wrapped around him in green tentacle-like forms—he wore baggy white pants with dark blue patterns and a gray corsage on his left wrist. Before his demonic change, his eyes were amber and lacked a Commandment mark.

Approximately 3,000 years ago during the Holy War, Gloxinia fought with the Stigma alliance, including the Giant King Drole, the demon Meliodas, and the goddess Elizabeth, considering them comrades. An incident where humans led by Rou betrayed Stigma, seemingly killing Gerheade, overwhelmed Gloxinia with grief and seething resentment toward humanity. This drove him to defect to the Demon Clan. He became a demon, receiving the Commandment of Repose from the Demon King. This granted him dark powers and tattooed the Commandment symbol on his chest. He was later sealed within the Coffin of Eternal Darkness alongside other demons after the war.

As a Ten Commandments member, Gloxinia embraced a sadistic demeanor, reveling in combat and taunting foes. He frequently partnered with Drole, retaining a fondness for human culture despite his hatred for humanity. His power level reached 50,000, with magic constituting 47,000. His abilities included Disaster (nature control), levitation, heart-reading, and a time-regression spell. His Spirit Spear Basquias assumed at least ten distinct forms, used for offense and defense. Combined techniques with Drole, like Ore Tree Orudora, created massive structures capable of temporarily restraining powerful demons like Chandler.

During the events of Imperial Wrath of the Gods, Gloxinia and Drole captured Diane and King, subjecting them to trials by transporting them into their past memories. Through King's perspective, Gloxinia was forced to relive his betrayal and Gerheade's apparent death. Witnessing King's growth, including the emergence of his wings, shifted Gloxinia's view of him from unworthy successor to respected Fairy King. This trial, coupled with the revelation that Gerheade survived (protected by Rou, who reincarnated as Oslo), led Gloxinia to abandon the Ten Commandments. He expressed regret for his demon alliance and sought atonement.

Rejoining the Fairy Clan, Gloxinia fought alongside former allies against the Demon Clan. In his final moments battling Chandler, he healed his lifelong companion Drole, acknowledged King's potential to become the strongest Fairy King, and conveyed wishes for Meliodas and Elizabeth to find peace, reconciling with former friends before his death.
