Description
Jun Sasada serves as class president in Takashi Natsume's first-year class at Yowake High School. She possesses dark brown eyes and straight, shoulder-length brown hair, typically secured with a green hair clip holding her bangs to the side. She consistently appears in the school uniform.

Her background involves significant personal loss. Her mother died when she was young. After her father remarried, he also passed away, leaving her to live with her step-family. During a middle school Trial of Courage event at an old school building, she dropped an amulet given to her by her deceased mother. While frantically searching for it in the dark, she encountered a yōkai named Shigure, who wore a bucket over his head. He returned the amulet using a stick, explaining that "impure" beings like himself could not touch "blessed pure" objects. This act of kindness deeply affected her, leading her to visit the school daily afterward, hoping to properly thank him.

Sasada demonstrates persistence, efficiency, and an authoritative demeanor as class president, though she can be perceived as bossy. Her determination drives her relentless pursuit to thank Shigure and fuels her suspicion that Natsume can see spirits. She frequently questions him about supernatural matters and attempts to accompany him during his encounters with yōkai, despite his repeated denials. Her motivations blend curiosity about the spirit world with a possible romantic interest in Natsume, evident when she blushes after he questions her reasons for following him to an abandoned train station.

Her role diverges between manga and anime continuities. In the manga, she moves away shortly after the Shigure incident due to her stepfather’s job transfer. In the anime, she remains a recurring character, participating in school activities and occasionally interacting with Natsume’s friend group, including Satoru Nishimura, Atsushi Kitamoto, Kaname Tanuma, and Tooru Taki. For instance, she returns an old train ticket to Natsume that he dropped and follows him to investigate its significance, though Tanuma distracts her, allowing Natsume to evade her inquiries.
