Bat, a young orphan raised by adoptive mother Toyo in a struggling village, leaves home to ease her burden, surviving as a thief in a desolate wasteland. Arrested for theft in Lin’s village, he shares a cell with Kenshiro and witnesses the warrior’s explosive martial skill during an escape. Compelled by self-interest yet intrigued, Bat follows Kenshiro as an opportunistic tagalong, his loyalty solidifying through shared trials.

He matures from a reckless scavenger into a resourceful ally, leveraging mechanical expertise and piloting skills to aid the group. His bond with Lin deepens into a protective sibling dynamic.
