Description
Siesta, a 17-year-old maid from the rural town of Tarbes, serves at Tristain Academy of Magic before becoming Hiraga Saito’s dedicated attendant following his knighthood. As the eldest of eight siblings, including her brother Julien, she balances familial responsibility with a heritage linking her to Sasaki Takeo, a Japanese WWII naval pilot stranded in Tristain after traversing a solar eclipse portal. This lineage gifts her dark hair and eyes mirroring Saito’s, alongside a hidden Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter plane inherited through generations.
Initially assigned to Count Mott under duress, her rescue by Saito, Louise, Kirche, and Tabitha sparks unwavering loyalty and growing affection for Saito. A grateful kiss evolves into persistent romantic pursuit, driven by her conviction that she can provide Saito gentler companionship than Louise’s sternness. Despite her shy disposition, she strategically employs costumes, calculated deceptions, and staged scenarios to capture his attention.
Her timid facade occasionally cracks to reveal boldness—joining Saito in communal baths, leveraging her physique to rival Louise, or permitting his brief mistreatment to assume a caretaker role afterward. Queen Henrietta formalizes her position as Saito’s personal maid post-knighthood, cementing her place in his daily life.
Tensions with Louise simmer through rivalry and sharp exchanges, though they reconcile after Saito’s temporary departure to his homeland. Siesta’s fondness for napping—reflecting her Spanish namesake—and culinary skill, particularly her peach-walnut bread, contrast with her aversion to multi-legged creatures.
Her mother’s ties to Scarron and Jessica, coupled with a shrine in Tarbes honoring her great-grandfather, weave her into a legacy bridging Tristain and Saito’s world, underscoring a dual heritage rooted in historical cross-dimensional echoes.
