Description
Luviagelita Edelfelt, known as Luvia, leads the renowned Finnish Edelfelt lineage, a family of magi historically acting as mercenary aristocrats who procure valuable magecraft from global conflicts. As the current head, she possesses a younger twin sister in Finland and a prearranged marriage founded on mutual affection.

Her education at the Clock Tower, the Mage's Association academy, ignited a fierce rivalry with Rin Tohsaka due to their similar personalities and magical expertise. This antagonism frequently escalated into physical clashes, including an incident where they destroyed a dormitory reception desk, resulting in a permanent ban from the premises. Demonstrating her immense wealth and aristocratic nature, Luvia promptly purchased a European-style mansion for accommodation. She maintains a graceful public facade that often masks elitist attitudes and perfectionist tendencies, though her passion for professional wrestling and competitive spirit readily emerge, particularly around Rin.

Within *Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!*, Zelretch initially assigned Luvia alongside Rin to collect Class Cards in Fuyuki City using the Kaleidostick Sapphire. Luvia's insistence on treating the mission as a competition with Rin caused Sapphire to abandon her. She subsequently adopted Sapphire's new master, Miyu Edelfelt, as her proxy and erected a mansion overnight across from the Einzbern residence to serve as their base. After aiding Miyu in collecting the Class Cards, Luvia remained in Fuyuki to investigate ley line disturbances, partnering with Rin during this time to capture Kuro using Illya as bait.

Later, following Miyu's kidnapping by the Ainsworth family, Luvia traveled to Miyu's parallel world. Off-screen, the Ainsworths captured both Luvia and Rin, extracting their souls into stuffed animals and implanting artificial personalities into their bodies to serve as maids. After Gilgamesh and Bazett freed them from Angelica Ainsworth's mind control, Luvia rejoined Illya's group. During the ensuing battles, she expressed visible shock upon encountering the Shirou Emiya native to Miyu's world.

Across other media, Luvia appears in *Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files*. She initially harbored animosity toward Lord El-Melloi II due to his predecessor Kayneth's actions. After he aided her escape from the Castle of Separation's security system, she gained respect for him and requested his tutelage, later providing him with a Command Spell her family retained from the Third Holy Grail War as compensation. In the *Unlimited Blade Works* anime epilogue, she resides in the same apartment building as Shirou and Rin, openly flirting with Shirou while sustaining her rivalry with Rin.

Luvia's abilities encompass mastery of jewel magecraft and the Gandr curse, potent enough to penetrate reinforced walls even while injured. She is also proficient in Lancashire-style martial arts resembling professional wrestling. Leveraging her family's influence, she manipulates information, controls construction projects, and exerts financial pressure. Her personality blends aristocratic poise with assertiveness, particularly concerning her affections for Shirou Emiya, whom she openly pursues and calls "Shero." She displays boldness in romantic contexts but becomes flustered by direct comments about her physique or when wearing Shirou's clothing. She cultivates relationships with Illya's family, viewing Illya as a younger sister and addressing Irisviel as "Mother of Shero."
