Description
Adolf K. Weismann, a German researcher in Dresden during World War II, studied the Dresden Slate's effects. His experiments on albino mice unexpectedly activated their aura and manifested Swords of Damocles. Opposing military applications, Weismann believed this power should foster happiness. During the Dresden bombing, he awakened as the Silver King, gaining immortality and a visible Sword of Damocles while cradling his deceased sister, Klaudia. He retreated from the world aboard the airship Himmelreich. Years later, the Colorless King visited, forcibly ejecting Weismann's consciousness from his body after a confrontation. Weismann plummeted from the airship, crashing through Ashinaka High School's gymnasium roof on an island near Shizume City, landing unharmed on a mattress-like surface.
Suffering amnesia in a new teenage body with white hair, amber eyes, and a height of 169 cm, he encountered student Kukuri Yukizome. Seeing the name "Yashiro Isana" on a school festival poster, he adopted the identity. Accepted as a student, he developed a carefree routine, often soliciting shared lunches and eating on rooftops with a stray cat. This cat, the shapeshifting Strain Neko, bonded with him immediately after his arrival. Yashiro exhibited a charismatic, trusting personality, forming friendships easily but displaying a trickster side, like fabricating a story about an ill younger sister to escape swordsman Kuroh Yatogami, who initially sought to kill him under suspicion of being the murderous Colorless King.
His life unraveled when HOMRA, the Red Clan, accused him of murdering clansman Tatara Totsuka, evidenced by a broadcast showing the Colorless King in a body identical to Yashiro's. With Kuroh (eventually becoming his vassal) and Neko, Yashiro investigated his innocence. Discoveries included his absence from school records, lack of photographic evidence, and a bloodstained uniform in his closet. Neko restored fragments of his memory, revealing his fall from the Himmelreich and the body theft. During the "School Island Incident," confronting the Colorless King possessing Kukuri's body restored his full memories. Reclaiming his role as the Silver King, Yashiro used his aura to suppress the Colorless King within Mikoto Suoh (Red King), leading to Mikoto's death. Yashiro then disappeared after the battle, though Kuroh and Neko remained convinced of his survival.
Later, Yashiro resurfaced in his original adult body with restored silver hair. He returned to the Himmelreich, now called the Schattenreich, wearing a tailored version of his historical formal attire. His personality retained its optimistic core but evolved into a more engaged kingship; he actively collaborated with other clans to neutralize the corrupted Dresden Slate, leveraging his immortality and authority as the First King. He maintained his signature red Japanese parasol—adorned with a green cross pattern—across both bodies. Relationships with Kuroh and Neko deepened, solidifying them as devoted clansmen in the Silver Clan, or "White Rice Party."
Key traits persisted: a preference for rooftops and breezy places, a love for plain rice, and open-hearted trust in others—sometimes naively, facilitating the Colorless King's betrayal. His avoidance of conflict shifted to responsible leadership, though his methods retained flexibility, blending his inherent trickster ingenuity with his royal duties.
