She attends the same high school as Ohana, Minko Tsurugi, and Nako Oshimizu, quickly befriending Ohana despite their families' business rivalry. Popular among all classmates, Yuina openly enjoys her status and sometimes uses it for amusement. She possesses a lively, direct, and whimsical personality, notably switching regional dialects daily just for fun. She readily accepts compliments and enjoys luxuries afforded by her grandmother's wealth.

Her carefree attitude contrasts with an internal conflict about her future. Positioned to inherit the Fukuya Inn, she openly questions this path, prioritizing personal happiness over family duty. She would only accept inheriting the inn if it fulfills her own desires, reflecting her drive for self-determination.

Her spontaneous actions sometimes cause minor complications, like requesting a ride on Tōru Miyagishi's motorcycle, unintentionally provoking Minko's jealousy due to Minko's crush on him.
