Description
Inori Yamabuki, nicknamed "Buki" by friends, is a 14-year-old second-year student at Christian Private White Clover Academy. Her parents are veterinarians, inspiring her own goal to become a vet due to her deep love for animals. Initially, she is calm, gentle, shy, and reserved, wrestling with low self-esteem and excessive worry about others' opinions. This leads her to avoid conflict and blush easily. She also harbors an intense phobia of ferrets, rooted in a forgotten childhood incident.

Her journey toward confidence starts when she joins a dance group with childhood friends Momozono Love and Aono Miki. This path accelerates after meeting the fairy Kirun, who grants her the power to transform into Cure Pine, the Pretty Cure of Faith. As Cure Pine, her hair becomes golden and slightly longer; she wears a yellow and orange mini-dress with a heart-shaped bow, burgundy socks, and goldenrod boots. Her signature catchphrase is "I have faith in myself!" Her attacks include "Healing Prayer," generating a diamond-shaped energy symbol, and the upgraded "Healing Prayer Fresh," performed using the Pine Flute.

Key growth moments involve overcoming her ferret phobia. During a body-swap incident with the fairy Tarte, she confronts her fear while inhabiting his form, leading to mutual resolution. Afterward, she affectionately calls him "Tarte-chan." She demonstrates protective instincts, shielding animals and advocating for the fairy infant Chiffon under the Cures' care. Her powers evolve: Kirun enables her Cure Angel form with angelic wings and enhanced attire. In the movie "Pretty Cure All Stars DX2: Light of Hope—Protect the Rainbow Jewel!", she achieves Cure Rainbow Pine—resembling Cure Angel but with smaller golden wings—while defending the Rainbow Jewel.

Relationships anchor her story. Friendships with Love and Miki offer support, while her interactions with Kento Mikoshiba, who has a crush on her, remain friendly. Kirun allows her to communicate with animals. Her name reflects her identity: "Yamabuki" suggests mountains and yellow (her theme color), "Inori" means "prayer" or "faith" (aligning with her Cure title and attacks), and "Pine" references the pineapple fruit.

Her attire varies: casual wear often features yellow and orange; dance costumes include a light yellow sweatsuit; winter clothing incorporates a hunter outfit with armor in the movie. She is recognized as the only explicitly Christian Cure. Across all media—seasons, movies, crossovers—her narrative consistently emphasizes overcoming self-doubt through faith, compassion for living beings, and quiet resilience.
