Movie
Description
Sohara Mitsuki is Tomoki Sakurai's next-door neighbor and childhood friend from Sorami City. As a frequently ill child with limited social contact, Tomoki was her only friend during that time. Though she outwardly expresses annoyance at Tomoki's lecherous behavior, typically responding with a swift karate chop, she secretly harbors romantic feelings for him, sometimes leading to embarrassing dreams.
Her background holds a significant revelation: she is a clone created by the entity Daedalus. The original Sohara, Daedalus's avatar, died from a childhood illness. Daedalus replicated her identity to ensure Tomoki would not forget her, resulting in the current Sohara.
She is a member of the New World Discovery Club alongside Tomoki, Eishiro Sugata, Mikako Satsukitane, and the Angeloids. Sohara excels in athletics but struggles academically, particularly with foreign languages. Her culinary skills are notably dangerous, especially when preparing sunny-side-up eggs.
Within the film *The Angeloid of Clockwork*, Sohara participates in an incident involving a giant chicken rampaging through Sorami City. After Tomoki uses one of Ikaros's cards to enlarge her to a massive size, she defeats the chicken but then steps on Tomoki for looking up her skirt. Later, she joins Nymph and Astraea in confronting Tomoki under the mistaken belief that he is blackmailing new club member Hiyori Kazane. This misunderstanding is resolved when Hiyori intervenes and confesses her own feelings for Tomoki.
Following Hiyori's disappearance and the group's subsequent memory erasure, Sohara is shown near the film's end viewing a scrapbook of club photographs. In one image, Hiyori's faded presence gradually reappears, hinting at her potential restoration. This scene underscores Sohara's connection to the club's shared experiences and the theme of memory.
Her development reflects a consistent tension between her assertive exterior and vulnerable emotions, particularly regarding her hidden affection for Tomoki and her reconstructed identity as Daedalus's creation.
