Description
Ikaros is the central female character of the narrative and a first-generation Angeloid, a type of gynoid known as an Angeloid. She falls from the sky and is discovered by the protagonist, Tomoki Sakurai. She is designated as Type Alpha and is classified as a "Strategic Battle-Class" Angeloid, though she is initially believed to be a "Pet-Class" or entertainment model. In the distant past, she was known as the Sky Queen or Uranus Queen and was responsible for destroying the Tower of Babel. Her name is derived from Icarus, the figure from Greek mythology who fell from the sky.

Physically, Ikaros stands 162 cm tall and weighs 48 kg, with measurements of 88-57-85 cm. She has very long pink hair, often styled with twin tails secured by ribbons, and green eyes that shift to a red hue when she enters combat mode. A distinctive strand of hair known as an ahoge rests on her head, and her most prominent feature is a pair of large, highly coveted Variable-type wings. Her standard attire consists of a strapless white mini-dress, detached sleeves, and a collar with a broken chain around her neck.

At the beginning of the story, Ikaros has a placid, submissive, and stoic personality. Due to her programming, which prioritizes high battle and processing capabilities, her emotional abilities are intentionally restricted and low. This results in an expressionless demeanor that makes other characters question if she will ever smile. As a result of the imprinting process that bonds an Angeloid to its master, she is completely subservient to Tomoki, whom she calls "master," a bond symbolized by an invisible chain connecting her collar to his wrist. Her primary initial motivation is to obey Tomoki's commands and ensure his happiness and safety, showing moments of protectiveness whenever his life is in danger.

Ikaros plays the role of a powerful ally and companion to Tomoki, living with him and using her abilities to grant his wishes via techno-magical Transport Cards that materialize objects from Synapse. Her interpretations of his orders are often literal; for instance, when Tomoki wishes for world domination, she attempts to remove all of humanity. Her primary relationship is with Tomoki, towards whom she slowly develops genuine romantic feelings as her emotional restraints are loosened, partly due to interference from the Angeloid Nymph. These growing emotions allow her to experience jealousy regarding Tomoki's interactions with other females, sorrow, and anger. She also develops a close friendship with her fellow Angeloids, Nymph and Astraea. A recurring character trait is her fondness for spherical objects, particularly watermelons, which she grows in a garden and protects fiercely.

Throughout the narrative, Ikaros undergoes significant development. She evolves from an expressionless servant into a being capable of deep love and self-sacrifice. A critical turning point occurs when fellow Angeloid Nymph hacks her systems, inadvertently removing the emotional restraints that also unlock her full combat potential. This leads her to confess her love for Tomoki and share a kiss with him before sacrificing herself during a confrontation with Synapse, an act that causes her body to burn due to a fatal restriction implanted in her that prevents her from approaching Synapse. Her ultimate fate varies; she is later resurrected, and by the epilogue, she is implied to be in a permanent romantic relationship with Tomoki.

As a Strategic Battle-Class Angeloid, Ikaros possesses immense power. She can fly at speeds of up to Mach 24 and survive in the vacuum of space or the deep ocean floor. Her primary weapon systems include Apollon, a bow that fires a massive energy arrow capable of destroying an entire country; Artemis, which launches multiple homing energy projectiles from her wings; and Aegis, a nigh-invincible energy shield. When she activates her Uranus Queen battle mode, her eyes turn red and a halo appears, granting her access to the Uranus System, a large-scale weapons platform that resembles a cloaked ship. She also possesses a self-evolution program called Pandora that allows her to repair her systems and grow even more powerful after taking damage, allowing her to reach an enhanced state known as Ikaros Version II.
