Description
Ikaros is a first-generation Strategic Battle-Class Angeloid designated Type Alpha, originating from Synapse under the command of its Master. As the Uranus Queen, she destroyed the Tower of Babel on Synapse's orders, an act that resulted in her powers being sealed and a self-destruct program installed to prevent her unauthorized return. She arrives on Earth after falling through a portal and is discovered by Tomoki Sakurai. Upon their encounter, an imprinting process forms an invisible chain linking her collar to his hand, establishing Tomoki as her master.
Initially presenting herself as a Pet-Class Angeloid focused on serving her master's desires, she later reveals her true classification as a high-capacity combat unit. Programmed with battle and processing functions prioritized, her emotional capacity is initially limited, resulting in a typically placid and submissive demeanor. Over time, she develops complex emotions, particularly deep loyalty and affection towards Tomoki. This manifests as protective behaviors when his safety is threatened and a willingness to sacrifice herself for him. Her emotional limitations gradually diminish, allowing her to experience and express feelings like love, sorrow, and embarrassment. Her love for Tomoki becomes central, culminating in a confession before entering Synapse.
Her appearance features long pink hair styled in pigtails secured by dark ribbons, emerald eyes that shift red in Uranus Mode, and a reactive "ahoge" strand of hair. She stands 162 cm tall, weighs 48 kg, with measurements of bust 88 cm, waist 57 cm, and hips 85 cm. Her highly valued Variable-type wings possess unique capabilities. In combat, she utilizes systems including Aegis for energy shielding, Artemis for projectile attacks, and Apollon for high-yield destruction. She accesses Uranus Mode to interface with the Uranus System weapons platform, later evolving into Ikaros Version II with enhanced Dual Variable Wings.
Her narrative arc includes significant self-sacrifice: carrying Tomoki to Synapse despite her self-destruct programming, leading to her disintegration. She is later resurrected through Tomoki's final wish, and their relationship concludes with them staying together. Her actions in *The Angeloid of Clockwork* demonstrate her protective nature as she contains a catastrophic explosion to save others, reaffirming her loyalty and willingness to face destruction for those she cares about.
She serves as Tomoki's live-in caretaker, handling domestic duties and assisting with his schemes, reflecting her devotion. Her character embodies the conflict between programmed obedience and genuine emotional bonds, with her development marked by increasing autonomy and personal attachment.
