Description
Jumba Jookiba is a central character in the anime "Stitch!: Itazura Alien no Daibōken," set after "Leroy & Stitch." Pursuing Stitch across space after the latter steals a space scooter and reverts to destructive behavior following Lilo's departure for college, both are caught in a wormhole. Jumba crash-lands on an asteroid within Saturn's rings, reuniting with the stranded Pleakley.

Escaping Saturn, Jumba travels to fictional Izayoi Island in the Ryukyus to locate Stitch. He discovers Stitch has befriended a local girl, Yuna, and is attempting to accumulate 43 good deeds to earn a wish from the magical Chitama Spiritual Stone. Jumba decides to stay on Izayoi, joining Stitch's new "ohana" alongside Yuna and her grandmother. He creates a "good deed counter" device to track Stitch's progress toward becoming the universe's strongest ruler.

Throughout the series, Jumba provides technical support, using his scientific expertise to analyze threats, including other experiments reactivated by his former partner Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel. While retaining his self-proclaimed "evil genius" identity, he demonstrates paternal concern for Stitch and his creations. His relationship with Pleakley evolves into a collaborative partnership as they assist Stitch in adapting to human life and countering Hämsterviel's schemes.

Jumba's scientific knowledge is a key asset. He frequently invents gadgets from Earth materials, like communicators and scanners, to aid in tracking experiments or neutralizing threats. He maintains detailed records of his experiments' capabilities and weaknesses, which prove crucial when Hämsterviel deploys them against Izayoi. Despite occasional memory lapses, his intellect allows him to devise solutions to extraterrestrial problems using terrestrial resources.

His physical durability and strength are occasionally highlighted, though his primary role is non-combatant. Emotionally, he exhibits a protective stance toward Stitch and respect for Yuna's role as Stitch's primary caretaker. Initially focused on recapturing Stitch, Jumba shifts to supporting his integration into human society, reflecting familial bonds superseding his "evil" ambitions.

In later seasons, Jumba relocates with the group to Okinawa's New Town, continuing to develop countermeasures against Hämsterviel's enhanced experiments. His backstory as Hämsterviel's former collaborator resurfaces when the villain allies with Delia, a ruthless scientist seeking to exploit Stitch's genetic code. Jumba's inventions ultimately help thwart Delia's creation, Dark End, reinforcing his commitment to his adopted family.
