Description
Henrietta de Tristain is the crown princess and later the queen of the Kingdom of Tristain, a position she assumes after the death of her father, King Henri de Tristain. Her mother, Queen Marianne, stepped down from the throne to mourn, placing the responsibility of leadership on Henrietta’s shoulders at a young age. Physically, Henrietta is a beautiful young woman with short purple hair and teal blue eyes, standing 158 centimeters tall. Her typical royal attire consists of a purple cloak over a white silk dress with fitted long sleeves, complemented by white stockings, high-heeled shoes, and a diadem or crown.

Henrietta’s personality is defined by her kindness, caring nature, and an unwavering sense of duty to her people. Despite a personal dislike for war and conflict, she is willing to endure heavy burdens and make difficult decisions for the sake of her nation's stability and the welfare of her subjects. She is deeply loved by the citizens of Tristain, who admire her dedication. Her values include a disdain for lies and a belief in freedom, which she once described as the best treasure.

In her role as a leader, Henrietta is thrust into a tumultuous political landscape. Following the assassination of Prince Wales of Albion, a man to whom she was betrothed and deeply in love, she must defend Tristain from an ensuing invasion by Albion. This tragic event profoundly affects her, and though she vows to love Wales eternally, his dying wish is for her to find happiness with another person. Her leadership is tested as she navigates complex alliances and military conflicts, including a significant battle against an Ancient Dragon, where she mobilizes Tristain’s fleet and allies.

One of Henrietta’s most significant relationships is with Louise de la Vallière, her childhood friend. This bond is central to her personal story, as it becomes complicated by the arrival of Saito Hiraga, Louise’s familiar. Over time, Henrietta develops strong romantic feelings for Saito, leading to a rivalry with Louise. At a ball, she once disguised herself as Louise to confess her love and kiss Saito, an act that was witnessed by her friend. Later, a magical mirror linking her bedchambers to a room in Saito’s mansion facilitated further private moments and another kiss, which drove a temporary wedge between the two childhood friends. Despite these conflicts, Henrietta ultimately reconciles with Louise, formally adopts her as a sister, and supports her relationship with Saito, even attending their wedding.

Henrietta’s development throughout the story sees her evolve from a princess burdened by duty into a decisive and experienced monarch, while also navigating complex personal desires. She favors diplomacy and statecraft but is not afraid to take military action when necessary. Her notable abilities are tied to her magical affinity for Water, which classifies her as a Triangle-class mage. When combining her power with Prince Wales, she was able to temporarily reach the rare Hexagon level of magic. Beyond magic, her personal interests include the hobby of donning disguises to move among common people, and she is a skilled dancer, particularly to a melody called Fairy's Lunch. Her favorite food is reported to be horn-sheep soup.
