Sakura Haruno participates in a beach barbecue with Team 7 and other Konoha genin during the OVA "Naruto, the Genie, and the Three Wishes, Believe It!". She is present when Naruto discovers a bottle containing a wish-granting genie. After Naruto wastes the first two wishes, Sakura becomes embroiled in the conflict over the final wish. During the argument, she secretly formulates a wish for Sasuke Uchiha to fall in love with her, though she does not voice it to the genie.

Sakura physically struggles alongside Sasuke, Naruto, and the other genin to obtain the bottle. She actively chases Naruto when he seizes it, joining the pursuit. Her involvement is driven by her desire to control the last wish. Visually, Sakura is depicted with short hair in this OVA and wears her standard Part I attire: a red dress featuring white circular designs and leg openings, green leggings, and her blue forehead protector.

The story concludes before Sakura can articulate her wish, as Kakashi Hatake accidentally uses the final wish to obtain change from a vending machine.
