Kate Higgins is an American voice actress, singer, and jazz pianist with an extensive career spanning several decades, during which she has become a prominent figure in English-language adaptations of Japanese anime.

Higgins earned a degree in music from Auburn University in 1991, where she studied with jazz artist Bob Richardson. This formal training in music, particularly as a pianist, has been a significant and parallel aspect of her professional life alongside her voice acting career.

Her voice acting career began in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with early roles in various anime series. She quickly became a mainstay in the industry, known for her versatility in portraying a wide range of characters. One of her most defining and long-running roles is Sakura Haruno in the Naruto anime series, a character she voiced for over a decade across the original series, Naruto Shippūden, multiple films including The Lost Tower, and eventually in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. This role is widely considered her most recognizable performance.

Higgins has also been the English voice for several other iconic anime characters. She voiced C.C. in the Code Geass series, including the film Lelouch of the Re;surrection. In the franchise, she portrayed Talho Yuki in Eureka Seven and its film good night, sleep tight, young lovers. For the Digimon franchise, she took on the roles of both Mimi Tachikawa and Gatomon (along with its various evolutions) in several films, including Digimon Adventure tri.: Future and Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. In the Viz Media redub of the Sailor Moon franchise, she became the voice of Ami Mizuno / Sailor Mercury, a role she reprised in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III, the films Make Up! Sailor Guardians, and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal. Her other notable anime credits include Saber in the original Fate/stay night, Karin Kurosaki, Nanao Ise, and Retsu Unohana in Bleach, and Chloe/Glitter Breeze in Glitter Force.

Beyond anime, Higgins's voice is widely recognized in animation and video games. She has been the voice of Miles "Tails" Prower in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series from 2010 to 2013. Since 2017, she has voiced Pauline in the Super Mario franchise, including performing the character's vocals for the theme song Jump Up, Super Star! from Super Mario Odyssey. She is also the official voice of the Disney Princess Aurora, a role she has held since 2010, voicing the character in projects like Sofia the First and Ralph Breaks the Internet. Her other prominent roles include Frankie Stein in Monster High, Barbie in Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, and Starla in Blaze and the Monster Machines.

Throughout her career, Higgins has maintained her musical pursuits. She has released jazz albums, including The Tide is Low and Stealing Freedom, and performs with the band Upper Structure. Her background in music has undoubtedly enriched her voice acting, allowing her to bring a unique rhythmic and tonal quality to her diverse array of characters.
