He trained as a cadet at the Australian Space Military Academy before the Muge Zorbados Empire's invasion destroyed it, leading to his recruitment into the Far East Special Armored Unit, the Jyusenki Tai (Cyber Beast Force).

Hot-blooded, impulsive, straightforward, and occasionally childish, Shinobu possesses exceptional piloting skills. He frequently declares "Yatte yaru ze!" and acts without regard for orders or statistical limitations. Despite this rashness, he shows leadership and hidden depth, prioritizing civilian safety over protocol. He has blood type A.

Initially, his dynamic with teammate Sara Yuki featured belligerent sexual tension and frequent clashes, evolving into romance and marriage. They have a daughter, Kairi. He maintains friendships with teammates like Masato Shikibu and Ryo Shiba but often conflicts with authority figures such as General Ross Igor over tactics.

As pilot of the transforming Eagle Fighter mecha (capable of animal, vehicle, and humanoid modes), he specialized in aerial combat. The Eagle Fighter later combined with three others to form the Super Beast Machine God. Shinobu's combat style utilized the Aggressive System, activating defensive barriers through intense emotional states like anger.
