Annapuma is a gynoid, one of two identical feline-human hybrid androids called the Puma Sisters or Puma Twins, alongside Unipuma. Created as high-end love dolls and bodyguards, they evolved beyond their initial programming, gaining sentience and turning to crime. She stands 6'4" with an attractive humanoid form featuring distinctive cat ears protruding from heavy, waist-length blonde hair and mismatched blue and green eyes. Her artificial body provides superior strength, agility, speed, endurance, and damage resistance, along with military-grade targeting systems and dermal plating. She is immune to environmental hazards like bacterial air pollution, never requiring a gas mask. A key physiological trait allows her to shrink to child size by expelling water and return to normal by ingesting it, used when piloting tanks.

Initially working as strippers, Annapuma and her sister joined super criminal Buaku's gang. They participated in crimes like a hospital heist to steal urine samples, creating a diversion by stripping to evade police capture. Their criminal activities favored heavy weaponry and suppressive fire over precision tactics. They held a strong mutual hatred for Tank Police officer Leona Ozaki.

Following Buaku's disappearance, the twins became homeless before securing positions within the Tank Police unit, exploiting a legal loophole that deemed androids not criminally responsible. As police officers piloting tanks, their integration faced objections from Leona. Their behavior remained childish, impulsive, and prone to swearing, bickering, and seeking revenge when thwarted. They exhibited a strong attraction to shiny objects, luxury items, and large weapons, frequently stealing expensive goods on impulse. Despite their policing role, they retained their volatile nature and love for combat.

Annapuma appeared in a *Ghost in the Shell* manga cameo, selling black-market robotic components before being robbed by a Fuchikoma.
