TV-Series
Description
Allo is an employee of Yang's Finance, a debt collection agency operated by the loan shark Yang. He serves as one of Yang's two primary subordinates, the other being his coworker Gras. Allo is distinguished by his short blond hair, which is styled into a curled, upright loop for his bangs, and his brown eyes. He also has a goatee and typically wears a flat, gold necklace. His attire consists of a light blue shirt with a standing collar, over which he wears a two-tone suit jacket that is light purple on the right side and dark purple on the left, with the lapels reversing these colors. He completes this look with two-tone dress pants and dark gray loafers.
Allo comes from a background marked by poverty. A formative memory from his childhood involves being given money to buy cotton candy, only to accidentally drop it into a puddle where it dissolved. This event left such a strong impression on him that, as an adult in more comfortable circumstances, he owns his own cotton candy maker so he can make it whenever he wants. Poverty followed him into his early adult life, as Yang found him looking miserable on the streets. After being recruited by Yang, Allo joined the company; it was he who later recruited Gras, using the same words Yang had spoken to him.
Personality-wise, Allo strives to appear serious and professional at all times. This dedication to his image stems from a deep desire to prove his worth to Yang, whom he greatly admires and seeks to imitate. He takes meticulous care of his appearance, frequently combing his hair and even reprimanding Gras for not doing the same. His admiration for Yang is so profound that he follows his boss's orders without question, rarely hesitating to carry out any command, no matter how extreme. For instance, when Yang decides to blow down a door, Allo immediately produces a missile launcher. He also consistently praises Yang's actions and decisions and shows a caring side by ensuring Yang always has his favorite strawberry milk candy.
Despite his efforts to appear stoic, Allo is highly expressive and does not hide his emotions. He can be seen crying dramatically when a personal belief is shattered or cheering loudly for Yang in public. He is also prone to panicking over things he values, such as the comb he received from Yang, which he considers a treasure. While he is more serious than his colleague Gras, Allo also shares in the excitement of their space travels, enjoying sightseeing opportunities when they arise.
Allo's primary motivation is his unwavering loyalty to Yang, who rescued him from a difficult life on the streets. This loyalty is the central driving force behind all of his actions. He supports Yang through every situation, even when he does not initially understand the plan or when it puts him at risk. He is one of the pilots of Yang's ship and takes on responsibilities such as gathering important information and confirming sightings of their target, Robby. Even after the story's conclusion, which does not favor Yang, Allo remains steadfastly by his boss's side, holding no grudge for the dangerous situations they endured.
In the story, Allo is part of the group chasing the protagonist Robby Yarge, who has fled to space to escape his debts. He and Gras accompany Yang on this intergalactic pursuit, serving as both comic relief and a persistent obstacle for Robby and his companion Hatchi. Allo's key relationship is with his boss, Yang, whom he adores and is completely devoted to. He also has a close working relationship with Gras, acting as the more responsible counterpart to Gras's more easygoing and sometimes clueless nature. Throughout the series, Allo shows little to no personal development that shifts his core values; his character remains consistently defined by his unshakable loyalty, his expressive emotional reactions, and his dedication to maintaining a professional facade. Regarding notable abilities, Allo is physically fit and capable, as demonstrated when he, Yang, and Gras complete a marathon relay. He is also proficient in piloting spacecraft and is unflinchingly willing to use heavy weaponry, such as a missile launcher, on his boss's orders.
