Description
Alice Nakiri is the daughter of Sōe and Leonora Nakiri and the cousin of Erina Nakiri. She spent her early childhood alongside Erina at the Nakiri Mansion, where their relationship was marked by rivalry and bullying, including incidents such as Erina rejecting Alice’s fourth birthday cake and taking her doll when Alice was three. These experiences, intensified by constant comparisons, drove Alice to forge her own path. At age five, she moved to Denmark with her father to pursue molecular gastronomy, and by age nine she had become a recognized top expert in the field, earning titles such as “Heaven Sent Child of Molecular Gastronomy.”

Alice has fair skin, silver hair with a longer left bang that initially reaches her chin and later grows to her collar, and pronounced crimson irises that take on a cartoonish shape when she is teasing. She stands 165 cm tall with a large bust, wears a distinctive cream-colored uniform vest instead of the standard Tōtsuki jacket, and her cooking uniform has short sleeves with blackish-gray or red accents on the cuffs and collar.

Her personality reflects Nakiri family pride and confidence in highlighting skill disparities with rivals, though she is less conceited than Erina. She believes modern chefs must master both culinary skill and artistic presentation. Intelligent and innovative, she actively develops new cooking technologies. Sociable and cheerful, she casually engages rivals, often to poke fun—a trait inherited from her mother—and enjoys gossip and romance topics. She is cunning, using reverse psychology to manipulate others, and bossy, frequently ordering her aide Ryō Kurokiba around and taking charge of group activities. Despite her jovial demeanor, she reacts strongly to disagreement, throwing temporary tantrums when displeased.

Her cooking revolves entirely around molecular gastronomy, investigating physical and chemical transformations during cooking while prioritizing artistic, social, and technical elements. Signature dishes include the Three Forms of Egg Dishes—a trio themed around ocean (Neptune Diluted Ocean Gelée), forest (Dutch Style Asparagus Forest), and agriculture (Milk Shake in an Egg)—as well as Thermal Sense Curry and the artistically crafted Temari Bento. She uses advanced laboratory equipment that reflects her Nakiri resources.

In Denmark, Alice discovered a pub run by the young chef Ryō Kurokiba. After winning their initial duel, she proposed that he become her aide, phrasing it as “adopting a stray dog.” Ryō challenged her repeatedly for two years until his first victory, after which he respectfully called her “milady” and accompanied her to Tōtsuki Academy. Alice entered Tōtsuki’s middle school, becoming a dominant figure despite Erina’s shadow. In her second year, she defeated the Cutting-Edge Cooking RS society in a one-sided Shokugeki to claim their clubroom, later becoming its chief and rising to the Elite Ten Council’s sixth seat.

At the 92nd Generation Orientation Ceremony, Alice developed an interest in Sōma Yukihira after his defiant speech. During the Friendship and Rapport Training Camp, she breezed through initial challenges. For the breakfast buffet task, she prepared the Three Forms of Egg Dishes, drawing crowds with its artistry and serving 380 dishes. Witnessing Sōma complete his quota against the odds, she declared her intent to surpass him and dominate Tōtsuki, proclaiming the era of purely artisan skills over. She participated in the 43rd Autumn Election, telling Kurokiba not to lose early and predicting that future Elite Ten successors would emerge from participants like herself, Sōma, and Erina. Before the preliminaries, she invited Erina to a pool day, using reverse psychology to prevent her from leaving and probing about crushes. During the quarterfinals, she faced Sōma with a Temari Bento of twelve colorful sushi varieties but lost, revealing an underlying admiration for Erina despite their rivalry.

Alice maintains a complex relationship with Erina, openly competing yet secretly respecting her. She treats Kurokiba as both a subordinate and a trusted partner, relying on him heavily. Her interactions with Sōma blend rivalry and curiosity, as she views him as a challenger to her culinary philosophy.
