Chihiro Sagami, an ordinary office worker from Japan, dies and awakens in a fantasy world as the eighth princess of the peaceful kingdom of Frontera. The problem is that her new body is a starving, abandoned child who has been left to die in a corner of the palace. With the memories of her past life intact, Chihiro refuses to give up. Desperate for food, she stumbles into the castle kitchen and strikes a deal with a kind-hearted chef: she will work in exchange for meals. The chef, assuming she is a stray orphan, takes her in.

Though tiny, Chihiro’s nimble hands and capable skills quickly impress the castle staff. She takes on any task—charging into the forest to find honey, requesting udon when she falls ill, and helping wherever she can. Later narrative arcs introduce new challenges, including a sequel volume subtitled "Sora o Kakeru Haikankō" (The Flying Plumber), hinting at further adventures beyond the castle walls. The series is a gentle isekai slice-of-life story centered on survival, found family, and the small acts of kindness that transform an entire realm.
