Description
"The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass" manga, based on the Nintendo DS game of the same name, adapts the story of Link and Tetra as they embark on a perilous journey across the seas. The narrative begins with Tetra, a pirate captain, and her crew, including Link, encountering a ghost ship shrouded in mystery. Tetra is captured by the ship, and Link, in his attempt to rescue her, falls into the ocean. He awakens on Mercay Island, where he meets a fairy named Ciela and an old man named Oshus. Oshus reveals that Tetra has been taken by the evil Ghost Ship, controlled by the demon Bellum, who feeds on the life force of living beings.

To rescue Tetra, Link must gather the Spirits of Power, Wisdom, and Courage, which are guarded by three temples scattered across the ocean. Ciela, who has lost her memory, accompanies Link as his guide. Along the way, Link encounters various characters, including Linebeck, a cowardly yet resourceful treasure hunter who joins the quest for personal gain. The group faces numerous challenges, including navigating treacherous waters, solving intricate puzzles, and battling formidable enemies.

The central element of the story is the Phantom Hourglass, a magical artifact that allows Link to explore the Temple of the Ocean King, a dungeon filled with deadly traps and Phantoms that drain life energy. The temple is divided into multiple floors, and Link must repeatedly return to it, using the hourglass to extend his time within. As the story progresses, Link uncovers the truth about Bellum’s plans and the connection between the temple, the hourglass, and the spirits.

The climax of the story takes place in the Ghost Ship, where Link confronts Bellum in a final battle. With the combined power of the spirits and the Phantom Sword, a weapon forged to defeat Bellum, Link manages to destroy the demon and rescue Tetra. The story concludes with Link and Tetra reuniting with their crew, and Ciela regaining her memories, revealing her true identity as one of the Ocean King’s spirits. The manga stays faithful to the game’s narrative while expanding on character interactions and emotional moments, providing a cohesive and engaging adaptation of the original story.
