Description
Tagiru Chisio is an aspiring underground idol who dreams of making it big, constantly searching for his name online in hopes of seeing it go viral. He performs with his band Hazuru and Takeru as part of the idol group Banflame, but his growing frustration with his lack of success begins to show in his stage performances. During Banflames first solo live show at the Animate Theater in the underground district of Ikebukuro, Tokyo, something strange occurs mid-concert. When Tagiru dives off the stage, he lands among audience members who are not ordinary fans but vampires, and he is immediately bitten.

The bite triggers a vampiric transformation in Tagiru. As he struggles to control his newfound thirst for blood, his manager Tsubasa checks on him, and he nearly attacks her. However, Tagiru makes an unexpected discovery: holding back his urges, enduring suffering, and resisting temptation actually feels good to him. This realization allows him to return to the stage and deliver the most powerful performance of his life, though he must now conceal his vampiric nature from his bandmates and the public. In this world, vampires appear to be a known if not fully accepted part of society, with some individuals openly discriminating against them.

The series explores themes of passion and hidden desire within the entertainment industry, described as the darkness of vampires corroding the entertainment world while the light of something real cuts through that darkness. Tagiru finds that his vampiric condition and his masochistic tendency to relish in anguish actually enhance his stage presence, creating an unusual dynamic where personal suffering fuels artistic triumph. Other characters reveal their own unconventional fixations, including a vampire fan who finds Tagiru most attractive precisely when he refuses to drink her blood. The narrative follows Tagiru as he navigates his dual existence as both a rising idol and a creature of the night, keeping his bloodthirsty nature secret while confronting the strange and often bizarre reality of an entertainment world where vampires are an open secret. The series concluded after a relatively short run, with its finale announced for three chapters and compiled into four collected volumes.
