Tori, a young man whose only real talents lie in cooking, cleaning, and other domestic chores, has been fired from his adventuring clan, the Muddy Four Horns, due to his lack of combat ability. As he wanders the city of Azrac with nowhere to go, he encounters the citys strongest and most famous adventurer, an elderly woman known as the White Witch. To his surprise, she offers him a job. Desperate and assuming she is mocking him, Tori tries to refuse by demanding an exorbitant salary, but she readily agrees and whisks him away to her home in the woods.

Upon arriving at the witchs cottage, Tori makes a shocking discovery. The elderly White Witch is merely a disguise, and she is actually a beautiful young woman named Euphemia. His second discovery is that her home is a disastrous, filthy mess, a testament to her extremely lazy and slovenly nature. She has three rowdy familiars who only add to the chaos. With no other options, Tori accepts his new reality and gets to work, using his exceptional skills to transform the garbage dump into a clean, functional, and cozy home.

As Tori settles into his role as Euphemias caretaker, a quiet but possessive romance begins to develop between them, much to the chagrin of her familiars. Euphemia, who initially struggles with emotional expression, becomes determined to keep Tori by her side forever. Her solution is characteristically grand and powerful: she decides to solve all of Toris lingering problems, specifically the disappearance of his former adventuring party members, ensuring he has no reason to ever leave. While Euphemia engages in high-stakes battles to resolve these threats, Tori remains at home, holding down the fort with his domestic duties, proving that his value lies not in combat but in creating a peaceful life. The story follows Toris quest to maintain his busy yet comfy new life, even as new challenges arise, such as the addition of a fourth familiar to the household and the call to take up the mantle of an adventurer once more to rescue his old friends.
