A salaryman in modern Japan falls asleep in front of his television and awakens as Zil, a character from his favorite anime, Ragnarök: Twilight of the Gods. In the original story, Zil is the epitome of a charismatic and untouchable villain, reigning as the final boss throughout the first part of the series. But in a cruel and predictable narrative twist, he is abruptly reduced to mere canon fodder, instantly killed to make way for the next antagonist’s grand entrance.

Refusing to accept this humiliating fate, the protagonist vows to defy the original plot and ensure his survival, even if it means challenging the gods themselves. He now must carefully navigate the world of the anime, building his strength and amassing forces while flawlessly maintaining Zil’s imposing and arrogant facade.
