Description
A man who considers himself the world's biggest fan of tsundere characters wakes up from a strange dream to find himself transformed into a magic staff and buried in a forest. He is rescued by Stella, a silver-haired girl with narrow eyes whose speech and behavior are the very definition of a textbook tsundere. She is a student at Saint Antohsa Academy and claims ownership of the staff, which is now the protagonist's body. Content to simply support her, he soon learns that to return to human form, he must seek the aid of the Goddess who rules this world. However, the Goddess presents him with a violent ultimatum: kill Stella, who is known as the evil witch, and his wish to be human again will be granted. The protagonist is thus caught between his devotion to the shy girl and the demand to restore peace to the world.
The central conflict revolves around the protagonist's internal struggle as he refuses the Goddess's command and decides to protect Stella. The story is a school-life fantasy that follows the pair as they navigate the academy, with the protagonist acting as a sentient holy staff and cheering Stella on. Their meeting and the protagonist's unwavering support are positioned to change the fate of the other world. The narrative arcs include the protagonist's initial despair at becoming an inanimate object, his joy at discovering Stella is a perfect tsundere, the shocking revelation from the Goddess, and his definitive choice to reject killing her in favor of staying by her side. The series is written by Misaki Nagi and comprises a total of two volumes.
