They also investigate the desolate ruins of Raid’s old country, where they find it is not as abandoned as it seems. Throughout these adventures, they encounter a colorful cast, including an eccentric princess, a powerful dragon summoner, and Raid’s own family, which includes an overzealous mother and a battle-crazed younger sister. As the volumes progress, the couple closes in on the truth about their reincarnation, leading to a confrontation with ominous forces emerging from the shadows, with everything ultimately decided on the battlefield just as it was in the distant past.
