Suzu Hanamori, a dedicated fan, makes the life-changing decision to move to Tokyo. Her sole purpose is to be closer to her favorite idol group and fully dedicate her youth to supporting them. However, her world is thrown into disarray when her most cherished member, a performer known as Fuji, abruptly announces his departure from the group.

Heartbroken but determined to move forward, Suzu begins her new life by enrolling in high school. At the opening ceremony, she is shocked to come face-to-face with none other than Fuji himself, who is not a student but also a new classmate. The story follows Suzu as she navigates the surreal and confusing reality of her daily school life sitting next to the very person she once worshipped from a distance on stage. The narrative explores the ambiguous boundary between a fan's idealized love for an idol and the potential for a genuine, complicated personal relationship, all set against the backdrop of a traditional coming-of-age romantic comedy in a Tokyo high school.
