Haruma Yuuki is a high school student driven by raw strength and impulse rather than careful thought. For years, his sole ambition has been to join the Winds of Cemetery Linda, the most dominant motorcycle gang in the Shonan area. He idolizes the gang's third-generation leader, Zemba Knight, a man who has never lost a fight or a race to anyone in town. The story follows Haruma as he is introduced to the radical and dangerous lifestyle of the Linda, learning important life lessons while navigating the violent world of biker gangs and turf wars.

The narrative centers on the bonds of brotherhood among the gang members and their conflicts with rival biker groups. Haruma must prove his worth and earn his place within the ranks, while Zemba Knight struggles to maintain the legacy of the Linda as its undefeated champion. The series explores the balance between reckless delinquency and a personal code of honor, depicting motorcycle races and street brawls as the primary means of settling disputes.

The original manga was published from 1995 to 2005, with the story continuing through several sequels and spin-offs. These include Arakure Knight: Koukou Bakusouhen, Arakure Knight: Kuroi Zankyou Kanketsuhen, and later installments such as Arakure Knight: Remember Tomorrow and Arakure Knight: Remember Tomorrow - Ghost Note. The franchise also inspired a two-episode original video animation (OVA) titled Shin Shounan Bakusouzoku Arakure Knight, released between 1997 and 1998.
