Years later, author Saki Okuse launched a reboot titled Kaen Majin Onibarai in the July 2012 issue of Monthly Comic Gun, creating a new version of the story that follows Tsunami Tougen once again as the central protagonist. This horror fantasy series brings together people who work collectively to eliminate demons, with Tsunami accompanied by a mix of both new characters and figures from the original unfinished work.
