Description
The story follows Lune Renard, a young woman who, in her original timeline, was adopted out of a lonely life as an orphan into the noble House Renard. Despite her efforts to be a good daughter, she was always treated coldly, especially by her adoptive brother Liam. When the family fell into financial ruin, they sold Lune off as a bride to the crown prince. A revolutionary army later seized the kingdom, condemning Lune and her entire adoptive family to death for supposedly throwing the nation into chaos.
At the moment of her execution, Lune desperately prays for a chance to save her family. The Great Fox Spirit, Reineke, hears her plea and sends her back in time. As a result of this divine intervention, Lune is reincarnated with a new physical trait: fox ears that grant her the ability to hear the voices of spirits. This power becomes central to her plan to restore her family's domain and avert the tragic future.
The setting is a fantasy kingdom where noble houses manage territories and where spirits influence the natural world. The central conflict shifts from a grand political overthrow to the more intimate challenge of realm restoration. Upon returning to the past, Lune discovers a significant change: the brother who once treated her with cold indifference, Liam, is now inexplicably doting and affectionate. With her new spirit companions and Liam's unwavering support, Lune sets out to win over her adoptive family, strengthen their territory, and find true happiness.
One year after her reincarnation, things are improving. Lord Reineke's power grows alongside the people's faith, and the Renard domain recovers from a monster crisis. To further stabilize and bring prosperity to the realm, Lune and her friends propose building a hot spring inn, or onsen. With Lord Reineke's blessing, the House of Renard opens the onsen, where Lune, Liam, and a companion named Baldr dedicate themselves to running the business and providing a place of rest for travelers and locals.
The narrative arcs follow Lune's journey from a condemned prisoner to a proactive heroine. The first major arc focuses on her initial return, the confusion surrounding her family's changed behavior, and her early efforts to communicate with spirits. A subsequent arc centers on the restoration of the Renard territory through practical projects like the onsen, highlighting the slow-life, rebuilding aspects of the story. Throughout these arcs, Lune navigates her relationship with the doting Liam, the mysteries of her new spiritual powers, and the underlying threat that led to the revolution in the original timeline.
