Description
A high school student named Hibiki Manabe is suddenly transported from his classroom to a vast, monster-filled grassland in another world. While wandering alone and searching for his classmates who were transferred with him, he discovers he has been granted a mysterious non-combat job called Appraiser Provisional along with several unique skills. His most notable ability is Appraisal, which allows him to evaluate and understand the nature of the creatures and challenges around him.
Hibiki soon encounters Emalia Steinbart, an older elf woman who becomes his guide and protector. Together, they form an adventuring party and begin recruiting new members. Their first major addition is Claude, a wolf beastman who was once the strongest hero but was weakened by a curse before Hibiki saved him. Claude becomes Hibikis loyal guardian and a strict combat instructor. They are joined by Lilian, a young human girl with the potential to become a sage, whose immense and uncontrollable magical power led to her being abandoned by her family. She comes to view Hibiki as an older brother figure.
A holy beast named Vene, who appears as a small white cat but possesses incredible divine power, also joins the group after being sent by the demon lord. Throughout his journey, Hibiki is assisted by a support system nicknamed Suppo-chan, a voice only he can hear that was granted by the chief god to help him navigate this new world.
As Hibiki and his companions grow stronger and deepen their bonds, they work toward finding a way for him to return to Japan. The party faces numerous adventures and encounters with powerful beings, including four warriors, seven sages, eight demon lords, and eleven gods who seem to have a particular interest in Hibiki. Despite having a non-combat job that others might dismiss as weak, Hibikis appraisal abilities and the unconventional strengths of his companions prove to be remarkably powerful, allowing them to overcome challenges that traditional heroes and sages might struggle with. The provisional nature of his job title hints at greater potential yet to be revealed as the story progresses.
