The story follows high school freshmen Matsuri Hiwatari and Kaoru Shinonome, two girls who have moved from their hometown of Kawachinagano in southern Osaka to attend school in the northern city of Minoh. On the day of their entrance ceremony, they meet a classmate named Roran Momose.

The central conflict arises from a cultural and linguistic gap. Matsuri and Kaoru speak with the thick Kansai dialect common to their home region, but their straightforward and unfiltered way of speaking is perceived as rough and delinquent by their new peers in Minoh, where the local customs and dialect are noticeably different. Determined to fit into their new class, the two friends make a conscious effort to behave more elegantly. Their genuine but clumsy attempts at refinement, combined with their natural charm and willingness to drag the more reserved Roran along to game centers and other local hangouts, form the heart of this four-panel comedy manga. The series is notable for its dialogue being written entirely in the Kansai dialect, using the characters' daily school life as a backdrop for humorous misunderstandings and cultural clashes.
