Description
Twenty-four-year-old Reina Izutsu has suddenly become the new president of Izutsu Printing after the death of her father. Overwhelmed by the pressure and struggling to find her footing, her inexperience causes her to come across as harsh and demanding to the employees she now leads. Stressed and isolated, she spends an evening alone at an empty park, drinking beer and venting her frustrations to the starry sky, loudly wishing she could give up the presidency. Unbeknownst to her, her subordinate, thirty-seven-year-old section chief Kenichi Ishizumi, has overheard her entire drunken rambling. Instead of using her vulnerable moment against her, Kenichi finds himself charmed by her sincerity and quietly vows to support her in any way he can.
The story follows the adorably awkward relationship that develops between Reina and Kenichi as they begin meeting in secret after hours. What starts as Reina letting off steam becomes a genuine connection where job titles fade away, allowing two lonely adults to find comfort and honesty under the night sky. The manga is an office romantic comedy that balances the pressures of running a family business with the gentle growth of an improper but heartfelt romance. It is written and illustrated by Zurikishi, originally serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine under the Japanese title Shachou to Sake to Hoshi. As an ongoing seinen series with two volumes released in Japan as of late 2025, the first English volume is scheduled for release in November 2026.
