Description
A female college student named Toko Himesaki discovers that her new neighbor in the student dormitory is an exchange student named Hon, who also happens to be a dragon person. Despite Hon possessing a divine and striking appearance, she is actually quite clumsy and absent-minded, leading to a series of daily mishaps. Unable to simply ignore her struggling neighbor, Toko finds herself drawn into Hon’s daily life, marking the beginning of a laid-back fantasy comedy centered on cross-cultural exchange between a human and a mythical being.
The story is set within the confines of a contemporary student dormitory, where the mundane realities of college life collide with the extraordinary nature of having a dragon as a neighbor. A recurring element within the worldbuilding is the tendency for dragonfolk to amass personal hoards. However, unlike traditional tales of dragons guarding gold and jewels, the manga humorously subverts this trope by showing that what dragons choose to collect can be highly individualized; for example, one wealthy dragon character is noted to possess a hoard of vintage spoons. The narrative focuses on the gentle humor and small adventures that arise from Hon’s absent-minded personality and Toko’s compassionate efforts to help her adjust to human society. The manga began as a web comic released on the author’s Twitter account in March 2024 before officially serializing in Comic Flapper in January 2025.
