Description
A female college student named Toko Himesaki finds her daily routine interrupted when a strange new neighbor moves into the room next door at her student dormitory. The newcomer is Hon, an exchange student who is also a dragon person. Despite possessing a divine and majestic appearance that might be expected of a mythical being, Hon is incredibly clumsy, absent-minded, and prone to making mistakes in her daily life. Toko, unable to bring herself to ignore the struggling dragon girl, decides to help her navigate human society, beginning a laid-back fantasy comedy centered on cross-cultural exchange.

The story takes place primarily within the halls of their shared student dorm, focusing on the humorous and heartwarming moments that arise from a mythical creature attempting to live an ordinary human life. The comedy stems from the stark contrast between Hon’s god-like appearance and her very un-godlike clumsiness, as well as the general absurdity of a dragon person dealing with mundane tasks like cooking, cleaning, and attending college classes. The series also touches on the nature of dragonfolk in this world; they are known to have an instinct to amass hoards, though the objects of their affection vary wildly from person to person. While some dragonfolk might collect traditional treasures like gold, one wealthy dragon in the setting is noted to proudly display a collection of vintage spoons, adding another layer of quirky world-building.

The narrative follows the evolving friendship between Toko and Hon as they engage in a gentle "laid-back" slice-of-life routine. Their relationship is built on Toko’s patient guidance and Hon’s earnest, if awkward, attempts to understand human customs. The manga began as a web comic released on the author's social media account in March 2024, and due to its popularity, it transitioned into an official serialization in Monthly Comic Flapper starting in January 2025. The story continues to follow the pair as they navigate the small, everyday challenges of dorm life, turning what could be a strange situation into a heartwarming tale about finding connection with the person next door, even if that person happens to be a dragon.
