Description
Tamotsu Sugawara is a corporate employee who cannot refuse any request, a yes man whose inability to set boundaries has left him completely burned out. Unable to continue going to work, he decides to take time off and recuperate at his family's shrine. During the day, he meets Makoto Hiiragi, a female university student who works part time at the shrine. But when night falls, a ghost appears before Tamotsu one evening, and it looks exactly like Makoto.

This encounter sets the stage for a horror inspired romantic comedy that connects the former yes man corporate employee with a female university student suspected of being a living spirit. The shrine owned by Tamotsus family serves as the primary setting, a place meant to offer him rest and recovery but instead becomes the site of paranormal encounters that drive the narrative. The tension between the everyday version of Makoto seen during daylight hours and her ghostly double that appears at night forms the central mystery of the series.

The story follows how these two characters relieve stress together, with the supernatural elements providing both comedic situations and opportunities for genuine connection. As a love comedy, the manga explores the developing relationship between Tamotsu and Makoto while maintaining its ghostly premise. The horror inspired backdrop creates situations where boundaries between the living and spiritual worlds blur, forcing Tamotsu to confront not only supernatural phenomena but also his own tendencies toward people pleasing and burnout.

No specific named narrative arcs are available as the series began serialization in Kadokawas Dragon Age magazine starting November 9, 2024. The first compiled volume was released in Japan in July 2025, with the series ongoing.
