Description
In the kingdom where a person's social standing and future are determined by the skills they receive at a coming-of-age ceremony, a young magic tool engineer named Cyclo-Owen is bestowed with the ability to make and repair clocks. This power, deemed the Clock User, is immediately judged as useless by the powerful Artisan Guild, which values abilities that contribute directly to combat or high-demand craftsmanship. Labeled incompetent and unnecessary, Cyclo-Owen is cruelly cast out from the guild. His situation goes from bad to worse when he is falsely accused of a crime and sold into slavery, ultimately being sent as a disposable laborer into the depths of the Deep Hole, an uncharted and lethal dungeon.
Abandoned in the monster-infested abyss and left for dead, Cyclo-Owen hits rock bottom. It is in this moment of utter despair, while vowing revenge against the world that has wronged him, that the true nature of his power finally awakens. The ability to perceive and manipulate clocks reveals itself to be far more than a simple time-telling skill. Cyclo-Owen discovers he can apply the concept of a clock to virtually anything, allowing him to control the timing of events, witness the countdown to an enemy's death, or perhaps even rewind or fast-forward specific phenomena. This revelation transforms the supposed incompetent into an overwhelmingly powerful force.
Now armed with god-like abilities, Cyclo-Owen evolves from a helpless victim into a calculating agent of retribution. The narrative follows his journey of survival and conquest from the bottom of the dungeon upward. As he effortlessly defeats monstrous threats that would challenge even elite adventurers, his exploits begin to attract attention from the surface world. The story explores classic revenge fantasy and power escalation arcs, where the protagonist systematically dismantles the lives of those who betrayed him, including the corrupt guild officials who exiled him and the nobles who enslaved him. Set against a dark fantasy backdrop, the manga follows Cyclo-Owen as he carves a bloody path back to the surface, embracing his freedom as an SSS-class adventurer while the very people who expelled him come to regret their decision as they desperately try to win back his favor.
