A powerful but reclusive immortal wizard named Zemu lives in a remote castle far from the secular world, having long resisted taking on any apprentice. His solitary existence is upended when he takes in a mysterious young boy found covered in bandages, suffering from complete amnesia and unable to remember his own identity or where he came from.

The setting is an oriental fantasy world where elemental wizards wield immense power, and forces exist that seek to destroy them. Zemu soon discovers that his enigmatic ward is no ordinary child. The boy was once the prince of the Flying Country, a kingdom that was destroyed along with everyone he loved by a catastrophic phenomenon known as the World Change or Kai-hen. Now a fugitive, the boy possesses a rare and coveted ability called divine eyes, which makes him a target for countless factions within the realm of immortals and sorcery who seek to claim this power for themselves.

As the former prince struggles to recover his lost memories and understand the terrifying potential of his own abilities, Zemu finds himself drawn out of his seclusion. Their initial master-student relationship deepens as they uncover the truth behind the World Change that shattered the Flying Country. The boy must learn to control his potentially world-ending magical powers while living in fear of the destruction he might cause, and together this unlikely pair finds themselves at the center of a growing crisis that threatens to change the entire world. The manga is currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday, with Viz Media publishing the series in English simultaneously with its Japanese release.
