Every morning at 6:58, a train departs from Sakuranomiya Station, and in one particular car, an unusual drama unfolds. The central figures are two high school students from different schools who share the same commute. The boy, Hikoichi, harbors a secret crush on a girl he sees each morning, and she appears to share his feelings. Their entire relationship, however, consists of nervous glances, blushes, and silent panic, having not yet exchanged a single word.

Unbeknownst to the young pair, the other passengers on the train have become emotionally invested spectators.
