Atago Gakuto is a shy and reclusive high school boy whose secret dream is to become a manga artist. His quiet life changes when a popular and cheerful classmate, Shimizu Roman, discovers his ambition during preparations for the school festival. Rather than dismissing him, Shimizu becomes intensely curious, firing off a stream of unexpected personal questions. When Atago confesses his deep trauma from harsh criticism he once received on social media, Shimizu decides to help him overcome this fear in her own peculiar and overly intense way.
