He sets out on a quest to find a new goddess and, more radically, to discover a way for humans to contribute directly to the battle against the monsters that threaten their world.

Tsuchimaru’s journey takes a decisive turn when a mysterious wandering artisan gifts him with a powerful, specially forged sword. Armed with this weapon, the once powerless child is finally able to take up arms in the titanic conflict, joining the gods to fight fiends himself. The narrative unfolds as a sweeping epic of pure escapism, filled with grand battles, monster hunting, and an epic quest. The world is richly built, blending elements from various myths and legends, where ethereal landscapes play host to flying wooden ships and covens that sail the skies. The story is noted for its breakneck pace, maintaining constant action and tension as Tsuchimaru wields his new power against the supernatural forces that oppose the gods. The original Japanese series, known as Kyoshinki Senki, was written and illustrated by Shiki Kishida and serialized from June 2022 to April 2024. The English edition, titled The Sword of the Titans, was published by Titan Comics under its Titan Manga imprint beginning in February 2025.
